Known locally as the Twin City, along with St. Joseph, Benton Harbor has strong roots to an agricultural past and is now transforming into both an arts and shopping district.  Every year the town hosts the Blossomtime Festival, the oldest multi-community festival in Michigan. As a burgeoning center for arts, the downtown district is home to Galleria del Corazon, a studio of renowned sculptor Richard Hunt and the Water Street Glassworks. The town also has a variety of shopping and other commercial enterprises.
